1 x 'digital' PDF view version (A4 vertical) with sequential pages.
1 x 'print-booklet-double-sided' version (A4 horizontal) in which each following page should be printed on the opposite side of the one previous, i.e. page 1: upside (cover), 2: underside (inside cover), 3: upside, 4: underside etc., folded into A5 size and nested into each other).

"EN: This zine is produced to share our example of imagining and starting a ferment lab. A ferment lab is social space that can be actually physical such as the corner we worked in Shadok, or conceptual as in the group of people who experiment together with fermentation. In our Ferment Lab Strasbourg, we focused on exploring how it is possible to develop that social space in a context like Strasbourg, and in particular focused on vegetable fermentations and Choucroute, rather than other equally famous local fermentation products such as wine, beer, cheese. We share here a collection of documents from our process, including some images, texts, illustrations by workshop participants, and other aspects of our cultural production.
FR: Nous avons créé ce zine afin de partager avec vous l’exemple du laboratoire de fermentation que nous avons imaginé et mis en oeuvre. Un laboratoire de fermentation est un espace social, qui peut être physique, tel le petit coin où nous avons travaillé au Shadok, ou bien conceptuel, lorsqu’un groupe d’individus expérimentent ensemble autour de la fermentation. Dans le cadre de notre projet Ferment Lab Strasbourg, nous avons exploré la possibilité de donner corps à ce type espace social dans le contexte de Strasbourg, en nous concentrant sur la fermentation des légumes et la fabrication de choucroute, plutôt que d’autres produits locaux de notoriété équivalente comme le vin, la bière ou le fromage. Nous partageons ici une collection de documents issus de ce processus, dont des images, des textes, des illustrations réalisées par des participants aux ateliers, ainsi que d’autres aspects de notre production culturelle."

5. Ferment Lab Strasbourg Laboratoire de Demain
The Content of all zines was produced by Agnieszka Pokrywka, Andrew Gryf Paterson and Nathalie Aubret during Pixelache’s artistic residency during 2017 at Le Shadok, digital-maker culture centre in Strasbourg, France. Zine ‘Part 2’ especially includes the work and media of workshop participants and collaborators. All parts were prepared for the different ‘atlas’ phases of the ‘Strasbourg: Laboratoire de Demain’ exhibition (10 October 2017- 21 January 2018) in the same location.
